ARG went into ZG last night (enough acronyms?). We did alright, clearing Venoxis, Jeklik, Mandokir, and Mar'li. We wanted to push to Thekal and Arlok but it was getting late and some members of the group had to leave. Overall a fruitful run, and a great boon to our confidence. However, we HAD to take 9 PUGs with us. Not so much fun. One PUG tried to lead the raid, he also wouldn't buff parties in between boss fights because it was a waste of silver (WTF?!). Second PUG decided he'd loot the Hoodoo pile in front of the Speaker in Mandokir's room, getting mind controlled and pulling the speaker as well as earning a kick from the group. The other 7 pugs were not so bad. Helpful and happy that they were able to get some rep items, and chances at loot. The firts PUG I mentioned turned out to be a fantastic liar. He wanted "need" on a healing ring that dropped...okay as our guild lets PUGs roll on blues as appropriate to their class. Then, when the other half of the healing ring set dropped he wanted that too...after already having said he had the other half in their bank. When our raid leader called him on it he tried to cover it up with a "Um, I have it but I don't have it on me..." we told him that he just showed what a liar he was and that he's unable to roll on any more loot. The PUG quit and hearthed. This is the same pug that wanted to app with us because we managed to force Jeklik to change forms before she spawned a second wave of bats. Luckily, we had other members of our Guild we could pull in. I just wish they would show up at the designated start time so we don't have to pull in PUGs.
